2015 SENIOR INTERNATIONAL on LAKE of MENTEITH

The week started off a bit slow due to the unseasonable flat calm conditions for Mentieth with bright sun adding to the days fishing, due to it being flat calm it was difficult to drift the proposed areas but we slowly started to put together a game plan, the dry fly boys were doing well when a bit of a ripple appeared and we also we found static nymph fishing was more productive than pulling, come the Thursday evening we were all confident of the proposed game plan with a few main areas targeted – The Cages/gateshead bay and international bay/rednock shore, other productive areas being The Butts, lochend , Hotel bay and kates brae, unfortunately it was not the team result we wanted after the team had put a hard weeks work in but credit to our own Tim Llewellyn for executing the game plan at the cages/gateshead bay with 10 fish and top welsh rod coming 5th overall.

Great camaraderie from the whole team with great input ,also great camaraderie from all the teams ,  well done to the new caps in particular mike Williams , a special mention for tony Bevan gaining his 25th international cap …
