Following the Inter-Teams Match at Llyn Trawsfynydd on Sunday 10th April 2016. Our President, Mr Rhys Llywelyn, presented this year’s Youth Team Captain, Miss Sioned Davies of Teifi Trout with her Welsh International Captains badges.
She is congratulated for her achievement in becoming the first ever female to be appointed as Captain of the Welsh Youth Fly-fishing Team and surpasses her sister, who, also made history a few years ago, when she became it’s first female member.
Mr Rhys Llywelyn also presented ‘Welsh Youth International Caps’ to newly qualified and first time team members – Hedd Dafydd of Llanilar – Ivor Christie of Llanilar
to Stefan Rattray of Llanilar and to Jack Morgan of Llangennech .
Unfortunately, Ben Evans of Rhayader was unable to attend and the ‘New Captain’ will arrange to present him with his Welsh Cap at a later date.
Sioned will Captain the Team consisting of the above-mentioned members together with Richard Ricketts of Llanilar – Elliot Rumble of Llangennech – Jake Richards of Ospreys – Jac Davies of Llandysul – Nathan Bowen of Llangennech – Medi Treharne of Llangennech – Jake Howells of Llangennech and, Daniel Davies (Vice Captain) of Llanilar at the Home International Youth Match on Lougn Lein, Ireland on Wednesday 3rd August 2016.
They are all congratulated on their outstanding achievements so far and we wish them every success and ‘Tight Lines’.
