Sunday was the first days practice and the team quickly discovered a few key areas that contained a substancial amount of fish.
Monday all key areas were covered by rotation system of our boats. We quickly discovered the fish were very high in the water with midge tip and floating lines taking big bags of fish at Loch end, Butts, Malling shore, International bay and Hotel Bay.
By the end of play Tuesday the team felt they had the main areas worked out but needed to work other areas hard as fresh fish had been stocked on Monday.
Wednesday additional areas such as Gateside and Heronry to Sandy Bay had come to life on dries and washing line tactics.
Thursday these areas were worked hard and the team meeting proved that floating line with two boobies along with 2 nymphs in middle was the percentage method along with dries.
International morning provided plenty of head scratching as conditions had changed dramatically, flat calm and bright sun. We decided our method would still work as most areas were shallow and static fishing would prove best.
Every member of the welsh team done themselves proud as we had good average rod bags only just missing out on Gold to Ireland we gained Silver.
Top welsh rod Mike Williams catching the biggest bag of 14 fish and only just missing out on the Brown Bowl. Pic Below
